Observations:
An Eagle family of 2 parents and 3 juveniles are bringing their family to the far western section of Alewife Reservation at Little Pond. They are on the tree overlooking the Pond in the middle of Belmont's Oliver Road and the magnificent birds locate fish there in winter. Later in spring, the alewives will spawn at the culvert entry of the Pond from Winns Brook, and the eagles and great blue herons will find them.
