Erica Mattison, Legislative Director for the Environmental League of Massachusetts (ELM), will be one of the speakers at the event "The Role of Regulation in Furthering Sustainability" hosted by Boston Area Sustainability Group and New England Women in Energy & the Environment. Her remarks will focus on how businesses, labor, and environmental advocates are working together to make the case for progressive environmental policies and environmental agency funding.
Erica Mattison wrote "Underwater: The Need for Massachusetts to Become Climate Ready", a 2013 analysis of the need to prioritize flood risk on the policy agenda, including state planning, public awareness, and state facilitation of municipal action, since the issue requires action by multiple levels of government as well as private actors.
