Silver maple forest Hearing, Middlesex Superior Court
March 2, 2011

The silver maple forest Hearing to be heard by Superior Court Judge Jane Haggerty is on Wednesday, March 2 at 2:00 P.M. in Middlesex Superior Court, Courtroom 610 (Civil Session C) at 200 Trade Center, Woburn, MA which is just off Rte. 128:

Woburn, of course, is the scene of the famed Civil Action case won against W.R. Grace for contaminating the Aberjona River where a number of children died. Little River is no less an important River, but in this case, we have the opportunity to protect the River and floodplain before the contamination and increased flooding happen which is predicted by the Belmont Conservation Commission, Interveners and their many and noted specialists.

Some have asked for further community expression about this severe threat to the watershed after the Hearing on March 2 but must we hear from you. Rep. Brownsberger has cancelled the meeting on March 1 but agreed to meet with us after the Hearing and in accordance with the Executive Office of Environmental Affairs land appraisal which we know little about. We have not been asked for much of the testing materials we have concerning the site which goes back to the ADLittle Company days.

Look forward to seeing you a week from Wednesday. An environmental learning center envisioning brochure of the silver maple forest is being developed by supporters and illustrator for the area which will be distributed throughout the 3 municipalities. If you are interested in assisting the distribution, please let us know.
