New Bird Sighted for Biodiversity Inventory Last bird walk by Menotomy birder yields a prize of humming bird. May 17, 2006 (also see link to photos of hummingbirds in nest)
Birded Alewife Reservation Wednesday a.m. with one other, trail
blocked by flooded stream so walked Acorn Drive. Developer's machines
are in the Silver Maple forest. Deep in there my acolyte pointed to a
tiny bird, and it was a Ruby Throated Hummingbird visiting a honeysuckle
bush! We also saw a Veery, Yellow Warblers, heard BTG, Tree Swallows
at bird box almost tame. [Also a black-throated green warbler.]
