"Set in the foothills of the Appalachians, this film explores one man’s vision of using green burials to conserve land. Dr. Billy Campbell, the town’s only physician, and his efforts have radically changed our understanding of burials in the United States. Dr. Campbell’s dream is to conserve one million acres of land. Dying Green focuses on the revolutionary idea of using our own death to fund land conservation and create wildlife preserves." -Film description

Coming to First Church in Belmont, Unitarian Universalist. Sponsored by Friends of Alewife Reservation, the Social Justice Committee of First Church in Belmont, and Silver Maple Forest Alliance, seeking to preserve regional floodplain conservation land for community, posterity and environmental protection.

This may be a socially acceptable means of preserving valuable quality of life for our New England region, as well as fulfilling a needed service for those who want to memorialize loved ones in a natural way, in a natural place, and do good in the world as climate change increases.
