Famed Clark Abt, retiree and founder of ABT Assoc., calls for sparing courtyard trees

From Clark Abt

Dear Ellen Mass,

Speaking as a dedicated environmentalist and tree-lover and winner twice of the Thoreau grand award for landscape architecture, and founder and former CEO of Abt Associates Inc. at its former headquarters at 55 Wheeler Street from 1965 to 2018, I thank you for informing me of this continuing noble effort to save my beloved birch grove there.

By way of support I’m ready and able to provide you and the City Council photographic and print evidence of the beauty and environmental sustainability and neighborly amenity of this garden birch grove at 55 Wheeler St.

Cordially,

Clark Abt, Ph.D.
