Although my paintings are realistic, the realism is subordinate to considerations of space and mood, and the interaction between the objects or the elements in the environment. Still, in the end, I find my subjects very beautiful - sometimes in odd, quirky ways; sometimes as expressions of the power of nature - and I am compelled to paint them in detail.
