                                                           Let’s wake up the world…

Oil spills in San Francisco Bay. A NJ man named John Francis who lives in  the Bay area decides not to use motorized vehicles. He stops talking in order to listen more to others and to his inner self. He decides to walk across the United States, and for 22 years he walks, not speaking for 17 of those years, and earning bachelors, masters, and PhD degrees in an west-east transect across the country. He plays banjo along the way, and paints daily watercolors to go with his journal entries. He founds Planetwalk (www.planetwalk.org). He develops oil tanker regulations and environmental oil spill assessments for the US Coast Guard and becomes a UN Goodwill Ambassador to the World’s Grassroots Communities. He sails through the Caribbean and walks north-south through South America, living in each place he finds himself, including Antarctica. He writes a book about his US journey: Planetwalker: How to Change Your World One Step at a Time.

Now, Dr. John Francis is coming here to share with us!
