Alewife Reservation's meadows are mowed for restorative measures to enhance native vegetation and diminish invasive species added to website October 2004   Department of Conservation and Recreation (DCR) open meadow mowed at Alewife T entrance ramp. This will allow a richer native growth in the spring. The DCR will mow 2 times per year. Habitat growth will be abundant. Invasive knotweed will be managed by volunteers   Small trail to birch trees north of MDC parking lot from DCR open meadows.
